After years of steady growth and anticipation, Libala Seventh-day Adventist Church has taken a significant step toward completing its new place of worship.

On Friday, April 24, 2026, the church signed a construction contract with Trymate Zambia Limited to complete the remaining works on the new building, with a completion period of eight months. The site was handed over to the contractor on the same day, marking the official start of this final phase.

The contract provides for a 14-day mobilisation period. Taking this into account, Trymate Zambia Limited will commence works on May 11, 2026, and is expected to complete the project within eight months.

The signing was conducted by Libala Adventist Church First Elder, Monze Himululi, and Trymate Zambia Limited Company Director, Gregory Tembo, on behalf of their respective institutions, as officials from both sides witnessed the process.

Trymate Zambia Limited is responsible for completing the building from its current stage to full structural completion. This does not include the provision of chairs and other non-structural items.

Once completed, the new church will have a seating capacity of about 3,000—significantly expanding from approximately 800 in the current structure. This growth not only reflects the increasing number of worshippers but also marks an important milestone in the church’s journey, providing a more spacious and welcoming environment for fellowship and worship for years to come.
